This is a future remote/hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime out in the field.

Description :

As an Associate Energy Efficiency Consultant, Demand Management, you will deliver and create innovative customer programs to reduce demand during peak times, helping to maintain a stable electrical grid. In this role, you will work with our growing Demand Response (DR) team focused on all aspects of standing up and delivering demand response (DR) and electric vehicle (EV) managed charging programs for residential and commercial, electric & gas customers in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Your focus will be on helping to drive new initiatives forward while expanding existing programs to meet decarburization goals across Morgan Engineering Group LLC’s tri-state service territory.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direction to business partners for successful delivery of customer-facing demand management programs, tracks progress toward program goals and metrics.
  • Assists with management & analysis of data within aggregator DERMs platforms necessary to support delivery of existing and future demand response and managed EV charging programs.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders within the energy efficiency organization, in addition to Eversource’s system planning, grid modernization, solar, interconnection, rates, and IT teams.
  • Coordinates calling of demand response events with other utilities/program administrators who operate DR programs on the ISO New England grid
  • Manages the integration of activities between the customer, vendor/contractors, program administrators, and advisory consultants.
  • Develops documentation to meet compliance with regulatory filings and oversight of Energy Efficiency and Grid Modernization programs.
  • Participates in the budgeting, invoicing, evaluation, and tracking of expenses and energy savings; assists with the development of RFPs for contracted services.

Qualifications :

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Ability to grasp technical concepts, such as basic operation of electrical grid, battery storage systems, and digital/IT integrations.
  • Solid working understanding of financial principals and proficiency with PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages & data analysis tools (SQL, Python, Jupyter, etc.) and visualization tools
    such as Power BI.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability; thinks creatively about how to connect the dots and achieve objectives in cases
    where there is no playbook.
  • Quickly comprehends the task at hand, lays out steps to reach the end objective with limited guidance, and works
    with others to execute the plan.
  • Takes the customer's perspective; thinks through complete customer journey and incorporates it into program design.
  • Excellent verbal and written presentation skills.

Education:

Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Environmental Science, or a related
discipline.

Experience:

  • Three (3) plus years of relevant work experience in engineering, technical marketing, project management or energy
    efficiency services.
  • Experience and/or aptitude in customer service also desired.

Morgan Engineering Group LLC is a privately owned mechanical, energy, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and information technology (MEP/FP/IT) consulting engineering company headquartered in Lauderhill, Florida with several strategic regional offices across the United States. Our work centers on the administration of construction projects, primarily in the federal government and institutional sectors of the A/E industry. Projects include retail, restaurant, office, mixed use, warehouse, multi-family residential, educational, and healthcare facilities throughout the United States.

We are growing and have an opening for a Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer to join our team. The position is a full-time (salary) position and is located in the United Kingdom (Grate Britain) office. You will work on a team consisting of a project manager, an electrical engineer, a mechanical (HVAC) engineer, and
mechanical (HVAC), and a plumbing engineer.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of superior quality mechanical construction project including site development, specifications, and reports for buildings in retail, restaurant, office, multifamily residential, and institutional market sectors Review the design of HVAC and plumbing systems including all associated equipment, ductwork, piping, and specifications.
  • Perform HVAC load calculations, ductwork, pipe sizing, and any other calculations required to support the mechanical as-builds design
  • Review mechanical documents for areas of conflict with all building systems
  • Close coordination with the client and the entire design team, including owners, architects, contractors, members of
    other disciplines, and internal support staff to ensure the design and construction is consistent with the client’s vision,
    to ensure a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design, and to ensure the schedule is maintained
  • Work closely with equipment vendors and manufacturers’ representatives for selection and specification of
    appropriate equipment
  • Play an active role in project meetings with clients and colleagues
  • Provide mentoring and guidance for colleagues

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Possess ABET-accredited degree in engineering with an mechanical emphasis or mechanical engineering with a
    focus in HVAC or plumbing systems
  • Five or more years of mechanical design experience with an MEP/FP engineering consultant
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills with ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Capable of grasping and retaining mechanical design principles and working independently
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment to complete tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Two or more years of AutoCAD experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

One or more years of Revit experience
HVAC load calculation experience with Carrier Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) or Trane Air Conditioning Economics
(TRACE) program
Proficiency in applying requirements of applicable mechanical, plumbing, building, and energy codes
In possession of or eligible to obtain LEED BD+C credentials
Self-starter requiring minimal supervisionOne or more years of Revit experience
